CONTINUING
EDUCATION UNITS (CEU’S) AND COLLEGE CREDIT
UWA
Continuing Education courses are non-credit.
Academic credit will not be issued for completing a Continuing
Education Course. In
designated workshops or seminars, certain cases, CEUs (Continuing
Education Units) will be awarded for satisfactory completion of some
courses. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are the nationally recognized
method for recording non-credit Continuing Education participation and
will be available for many of the UWA Continuing Education Courses. One
CEU is granted for each ten contact hours of class participation.
An individual must attend at least ninety percent of the course and
display an understating of the course content, in order for a participant
to qualify for the CEU. CEU’S are also given based on approved contact
hours for participation in approved seminars and workshops. The UWA
Division of Continuing Education will maintain official transcripts of
CEU’s according to name and social security number.
A written request may be made accompanied by a $5.00 fee for the
CEU to be sent to the participant or a school or organization.
